What Would You Do? Stamped, Approved Fire Plans In Trash Bin

One of our techs found this in the bin at our existing customer's site.  Coincidentally a competing EC was just hired by the bldg owner for some work.  

These are stamped, approved fire plans for the bldg.

At first, there is anger, then you just have to laugh it off.

Well, some of this is controlled by where you are.  In California, a C10 can design and install his own fire alarms, without the need for a PE stamp.  

However, those plans are only good for that C10 and cannot be used by another.   If a PE designed and stamped, anyone can use.   At least, that’s how it was when I was doing them.

lucky find.  now that you got the plans it shouldn’t be hard to steal the bid, no?
