We are trying to troubleshoot false alarms from a motion sensor on a Qolsys Panel. This is just one example. When it says activated, does that mean the motion sensed motion?
This is a small sample of the log from alarm.com

I don’t use Alarm.com or Qolsys, but there should be something in the event buffer or event history if you upload it from the panel, providing you have remote programming software for this panel.
I think motion activated means it tripped, as if it saw motion, and idle means the detector restored as if there is no motion in its view.
It seems as if they had a bad run of motions. When the motion checks in every hour or so for supervision, it is creating an alarm. It is not actually detecting motion. There is a patch that can be downloaded to the panel.
What irritates me is when I mentioned the problem, my local rep knew right away, what the issue was. So you have a batch of motions that are giving false alarms, and you never sent an email letting dealers know?
I use Honeywell and their MyWebTech website where I can look up DirectWire Bulletins about technical issues. Also, they have email alerts which I subscribe to and it helps with early notification. Maybe Qolsys has something similar.
