IPVM is launching a series of IK rating tests. IK rating indicates the degrees of protection provided by enclosures (camera housings) or, in other terms, how well cameras can resist impacts. Ratings range from IK0 (no resistance to any impacts) to IK10+ (can resist 50J impacts).

Our plan is to test the vandal resistance of cameras following the industry standards, IEC 60068-2-75 and IEC 62262:2002.
