What Wall Mounting Options For NVRs And Switches?

We have areas where a rack is not feasible for various reasons and we need to clean the area up so we would like to put everything on the wall.

Any reasonable options for this? I found some wall mounts on amazon, and some are adjustable. I was wondering if there were any other options?

Exactly this. I've picked up 1u - 4u vertical racks for years and I love them for retail, smb, and small closets.

I use a vented Nema enclosure, buy computer fans, put them on the vents to a 12v dc power plug and put a combo lock on it so people keep their hands off. Also it has a clean appearance. Doing the fan yourself saves appx $100.00

I have an educational question regarding these types of mounts.

When the mount is selected and installed, is there any regard to the system cooling requirements?

Take for example a basic 2U chassis where the air is pulled through the HDD from front to back.   In this case the physics of 'heat rises' suggests the best orientation for the system is with the HDD facing down, which is of course inconvenient in the case of needing to replace  drive.

The side mounts are ok because the inlet side and exhaust side are far enough apart not to interfere.

Even a potential worse case is that these mounts are in a closet with zero ventilation for the small space.

Just wondering.

CPI has a great selection of wall racks  see them at: www.Chatsworth.com

In some situations where wall space is ample and Horz dimensions are limited I have simply used plywood backing on the wall. I then mounted the switch , server and UPS to the plywood by rotating the rack ears 90 Deg. Most 19" 1U-2U products can be mounted in this fashion.

All great responses but I probably should have been more clear. Most of our devices are not rack mountable. The NVR, UPS, and router are not rack mountable.

Here is the specific project. This is a take over (someone else installed it) and normally we would do a small 9U or 12U open or closed rack, with some shelves. We would replace the multiple switches with a single larger switch. The UPS would be a small personal unit.

Here there are several issues. Its right in front of the door a rack here would in the way. The attic access is directly above, so moving the rack up is not an option, and all the cables land here. We could put a patch panel in, and move everything elsewhere, but the HDMI cable for the TV's lands here as well.

Just trying to find a way to tidy it up, without rerunning a lot of cables, etc. The primary scope is adding cameras elsewhere, so we are trying to squeeze this into the project. I hate having our name on stuff like this...
