I think this is new - Vivotek has placed cyber security announcements quite prominently on its front page.

It is great to see more manufacturers being responsible. News flash: All software has bugs, security affects everybody.
I think it's better than Hik's burying announcements or Areconts line of "we don't use linux... therefore we cannot be repurposed for use in cybersecurity attacks" (paraphrasing) - I'd like to see what Bashis or similar has to say about that :P
