Verkada's Head Of Communications & PR Exits After Just 6 Months

Imagine you were Verkada's head of communications this year:

• IPVM: Verkada Faces Sexism, Discrimination, And Cultural Challenges,
• VICE: Surveillance Startup Used Own Cameras to Harass Coworkers
• The Verge: Surveillance company harassed female employees using its own facial recognition technology.
• This was then capped off by Verkada's CEO Addressing Sexual Harassment at Verkada.

Given that, we are unsurprised that Verkada's Head of Communications & PR Christina Schultz has left Verkada after just 6 months. Neither Schultz nor Verkada responded to a request for comment.

Schultz was quite capable and professional, in our interaction with her. A night and day positive contrast with Verkada's head of marketing Idan Koren.

Even if Verkada's sexual harassment has ended, Verkada's has a brash culture (dinosaurs, etc.), so it will be interesting to see how they handle increased public scrutiny as they grow. Someone like Schultz would have really helped Verkada.
