What do most people do to keep time synced on Dahua cameras with a Dahua NVR? We have typically been using an NTP server such as isc.clock.org
Is it better to have OSD and have the NVR time stamp the video? Is that even an option?

I did some playing around with this, and it seems like the only way to make this work is to use the camera OSD. I shut the cameras OSD off, enabled it on the NVR, and changed the time on the NVR. 1 camera had the correct time (as if it came from the camera), the other 2 had the time from the NVR.
Typically, this should be an automated process. The cameras should almost always take the time from the NVR. Call me if you're still having these issues.
With Dahua IP cameras you always want to leave the camera OSD for time on, or so I have been told.
There should be a setting for NVR NTP update and IPC update.
So I looked at our office cameras again. There is no predefined option or setting to sync with the NVR. But if I use the NVR address as the time server it works fine.
