Our verticals tend not to have the budget for mid-grade cameras, and none of them really object to Hikvision from an ethical standpoint. However when we need to run analytics for a customer, we have found the number of false alarms generated by Hikvision cameras to be unacceptable.
We are considering using DW Blackjack cubes instead of Hikvision's packaged NVRs and run analytics on the server side. Having said that, bearing in mind our customers are budget-oriented we would likely be looking at the i3-powered Linux boxes rather than the i5 Windows ones. Generally these deployments are not more than 16 cameras at 4MP.
