Information about the layout:

1 Office building - two single doors and one double door

1 Shop building - two garage doors and one single door

50 - Trucks

Both buildings are located inside a fence, that has three gates. This system needs to be on the network.

Need the two garage doors and three gates to auto open via proximity sensors that will be installed in the trucks.

I know there is much more information that I should include, but I want to get some ideas.

Looking for more information about proximity sensors.

Thanks Darren

The common approach is to use long-range RF readers to read tokens or cards in the vehicles.  Is that what you mean by proximity sensors?

Brian,

I know very little about both options you mentioned. What are the pros/cons for both of them options?

This post lays out the most common options: Long Range Access Control Readers

Here's a chart of pros vs cons from that post:

Brian,

This is a new County shop that is going to house 50 County vehicles. This is a long building that is going to have a garage door on each end (one way traffic). The County does not have an unlimited budget, but we need a solid system. We do have Axis cameras out at this property and the video management system we are using is Milestone Corporate version. I would like to someday integrate everything together.

Thanks Darren
