Suggestion For Training Certification For Law Enforcement

We are a small company that provides VMS and turnkey systems for law enforcement and military applications.

One of our customers, a police department in southern New York state has asked us if we know of a way for one of their officers to become certified for deploying cameras, networks and using bucket trucks.  I know there are some online training manuals from IPVM I can point them to, but are there any official certification programs for this?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

IPVMU Certified

For cameras they could get certified in the manufacturer of camera they would be using. Axis for instance has a certification program.

For networks there is the Comptia Network+ certification and is a good general networking certification. Cisco and other switch manufacturers have certifications as well.

For a bucket truck you would get certified by the bucket truck manufacturer. Same for a boom lift. National lift companies often have a certification program for the equipment they rent.

For cabling there is BICSI.

Hello John

There is a specialized law enforcement training association called NATIA you should point them to.  Most of our LE customers doing that type of work are members.

www.natia.org

Thanks

Chris
