Slight Difference On PTZ Preset ? How Many Degrees Is Acceptable By Manufacturer ?

I checked on the website but can't find simillar topic, so I'm opening a new one.

On a city project we noticed we have some issue with preset using a Uniview PTZ camera (model IPC6252SR-X33U).

We got a small difference on Pan/Tilt when we call same preset, whith zoom below 20x it's impossible to see the difference.

But when using the maximum zoom ratio (33X) we have something like 30 cms (at 80 meters) difference on both Pan and Tilt (sometimes higher, sometimes,, lower, sometimes on left, sometimes on right...). The PTZ coordonite displayed by the camera are exactly the sames.

Do you have similar difference on other brands ? From your point of view and experience is there an acceptable difference on PTZ ?

Thanks for you help in advance.

At 80 meters out, the screen shifts 30 centimeters in any direction when you return to a preset?

We don't use PTZ but I would have to say that is not bad. I would think the movement of the camera would cause some items to move such as mounting screws/bolts etc and that is why you get that shift.

What happens on a windy day?

Thanks Jay,

I think the issue is not cause to some vibration, or installation, cause we got it with very small time difference (few seconds).

I talked with colleague that confirm to me they got same issue with HIKVISION and Dahua brand.

Do you know if some western brands have same problem (Axis/Pelco/Bosch) ?

I know Bosch got similar issue recently, but need some time for the preset to move that way (and it was far worst than few degrees difference).

Thanks in advance for your help on that topic.
