Memphis, TN has installed cameras across the city in recent years as a crime deterrent/investigative tool, spending $10 million on SkyCop cameras in the last decade.

One of the SkyCop cameras recorded key footage of the Tyre Nichols beating by police last month, as examined in a recent Washington Post article: Memphis’s SkyCop cameras couldn’t prevent Tyre Nichols’s beating death.
