This came up here - Google Cloud Caps Sales Commissions as Losses Mount — The Information

The concern with Google claimed, like is typical, is that the salespeople are making too much money, at the expense of the company. The counter is that the company is still profiting even if the salesperson is making more. The counter to that counter is that those deals (would | might) occur even without such high total comissions.
