Suggestion: Throw at least a salary range out there, otherwise you appeal mainly to people who need a job :)

No, I would say it is just right the way it is. If that were my post and someone read it and the deciding factor on whether they are interested is seeing a dollar figure at the bottom, then I don't think that person is the right fit for my organization at that point.

At the end of the day it always comes down to money. Don't fool yourself.

Money is not the first thing I look for in a job, but it's an important part of it. You could be running the best company in the world, with benefits, pension, a vehicle, a fantastic work/life balance, a helpfulp and supportive staff, and basically anything and everything I could ask for. But if the top of your wage scale is only $15/hour(arbitrary number), I won't be taking that job, that's a huge pay cut for me. And now we've just wasted a lot of our time going back and forth talking about you and me and your company and my experience, looking at my resume, meeting with people, talking to references, so on and so forth.

That's why by not having a salary range, you're more likely to appeal to people who need a job, not people who are looking for a change, or maybe a step up.

Hearing a company has full benefits, training etc. without any mention of pay is like hearing about a blind date with a great personality ;)

It's allowed and a job classifieds section would have value, but it's behind in the queue with the new test facility, new courses/books for next year, etc.

IPVM told us to post on the discussion board as they do not have a job board.

Of course one side effect of posting here is that the job listing could turn into a full-blown discussion on job listings ;)
