I was curious to know what, if anything all of you were using as far as software to estimate and takeoff security and access control type jobs. I work for an electrical house. The electrical side of the office uses ConEst. It works great....for electrical. What do all the minds in our industry use? Any thoughts on using ConEst and just taking the time to adapt it to our industry? I am not fighting the decision to use ConEst, its just that I feel there is something else out there tailored to our industry that doesn't require a bunch of modifications to use. Am i thinking wrong here?
