As a central station company we used VideoIQ in the past for economical alarm verification.  What is the solution without using the total Avigilon package?

what kind of analytics or platform features would be looking into.

Why not use the total Avigilon Solution if it works just like VideoIQ?

What aspect of VideoIQ is built in to your offering for Alarm Verification? Were you using encoders, cameras? I find it interesting that you specifically labelled it "economical" alarm verification. There are more economical options to stream video back to a central monitoring station, perhaps you were utilizing the onboard storage/NVR feature of their cameras?

With a little bit more detail on your operations, or intended goals, we could probably steer you in a few directions.

We used VideoIQ encoders and cameras coupled with SureView in our central station.  The analytics and talkdown features were especially attractive.  This was largely used for trespassing and loitering.   At $1,500 to $2,000 this worked out well.

Karl,

i worked for a remote monitoring service that used the same devices for the same purposes.  I think you will find the effort necessary to reinvent the wheel to avoid Avigilon is far better spent learning Avigilon.  Many of the features that were a workaround within VideoIQ to whatever solution you are utilizing now are pretty much a 2-click process.
