We have a client that is looking to monitor temperatures of their freezers/refrigerators. They are a large logistics/cold storage organization.
They want centralized management across all locations. They want historic views of temps. They also want live temperature status and alerts should temps fall within certain ranges.
Any recommendations on platforms/services would be much appreciated.
I used Winland EnviroAlert in the past. At the time they were local only, but now there is a cloud option, called Insight. I cannot tell you much about it, but it looks like it fits what you're asking for.
When I used them, data logging was all local, and output to a USB stick. They all have form C contacts for local alert, and multiple probes per unit. Really reliable.
S2 can monitor temperatures with the temperature blade option for their nodes.
Geist has environmental monitoring. You are able to monitor humidity and power as well which would be nice for the application like cold storage.

Have a look at Servercheck. Realy nice platform with lots of sensor options including thermal and lots of integrations. They have a cloud monitor, report and alerting platform.
