I got a call from someone who had their house broken into and is looking for some cameras. Normally I don't touch residential because expectations vs cost are too far apart (especially with commercial equipment), but with the plethora of more advanced consumer options now available I was hoping someone could give me a recommendation.

I have a Google Nest doorbell and it seems to be fairly accurate with detecting people and sending notifications. For example it will not alert on deer, passing traffic, or pedestrians 40 ft away on the street whereas the garbage Hik doorbell would. The major downside to the Nest is you need to subscribe in order to get video history.
