Im looking to hear some first hand accounts of the accuracy on Hanwha's new Q series analytics cameras. We have had a terrible time with false classifications. QNV-C9011R is the model we used on this deployment. We have a few of the P series cameras deployed at other sites that do not seem to suffer from the inaccuracy of these cameras. See video clip below for our experience.
False person classification on dogs and inanimate objects makes the object detection analytic useless to the Wave VMS. In the past we've deployed Wave on sites that had Dahua cameras with SMD analytics. We set rules to trigger bookmarks (and mobile alerts for after hours) on SMD analytics and it worked excellent. Very few false alarms. This is the functionality I was hoping for from a lower cost Hanwha camera when I saw the research article on the Q series with AI. The IPVM testing of the camera is the reason we bought it, but our experience has been quite the opposite.
