We had standardized on Stellar Labs trips from MCM, but they have been discontinued. This item looks nearly identical to what we use:
You can get it on Amazon, B&H Photo, or elsewhere. My personal preference is to remove the lower mounting bars and support struts, just leaving the tripod and t-bar. Then mount a piece of plywood to the t-bar for quick / easier camera mounting. You can run a few large toggles through the ply and t-bar to mount it.
