Person / Vehicle Detection For Home Security

Hello All,

I’m looking for suggestions on how to enable a surveillance system to send an alert and control exterior lighting when a person or a vehicle goes onto a residential property, but ignore animals. I have used PIRs in the past for security lighting, but they tend to put the lights on all night because of wildlife.
