Recommendations For Surge Protecting Parking Lot Cams?

We have had nothing but trouble with our cameras in a large parking lot, We don't have constant power at the poles so we are using a system to deliver fiber and power out to a media convertor that hands out POE and DATA for a camera.

We have had lots of power surge issues during and after storms. We have surge protection but we just seem to be wiping out a lot of equipment.
