I have several environments (remote to me) where I run APC UPS, Exacq and Axis cameras. The smaller locations have a USB cable connected to the Exacq server and the larger locations use an APC UPS that is on the network. Recently, I have configured the Axis camera to send 'TCP data' to the Exacq server and the Exacq server has serial ports/serial profile configurations that can 'see' that data and then perform an action when a line cross is detected, for example.
I want to take this a step further and see if I can trigger an event/action to occur, within Exacq, if power loss is detected at the remote site. This isn't for me, this would be for others in the company that view these cameras. If there are power issues at the site, I receiver alerts via email from the APC UPC and/or the APC Transfer Switches I use, but I don't want these alerts going to the users.
