No Port Forwarding??

Is there a list of cameras that do not require port forwarding and have decent analytics? I was looking as Flir Saros today and it appears port forwarding is not necessary. Is this a new concept? or are others doing the same? We are a traditional guard company that just started virtual monitoring......... if we can pick up new accounts without having to deal with port forwarding, that would be great!

Any NX Witness/DW Spectrum/Hanwha Wave Server has the option for Cloud connectivity meaning they use *magic* to punch a hole in the firewall and proxy it so you don't have to worry about port forwards. Furthermore you can pull in any of the camera streams over RTSP which should work with whatever backend you use. Obviously any 'Cloud VMS' solution usually takes care of that, Smartvue, Eagle Eye, OpenEye etc.

As far as single cameras themselves I am not so sure. The DW CaaS series are literally 'Cameras as A Server' and have all the abilities listed above.

Thanks Matt, we are currently using Sureview so we were looking for a easy option to "plug and play" without the complications of port forwarding. Especially when we are dealing with larger systems.

If you need to 'convert' legacy systems to be a simple plug and play into Sureview with RTSP - You could use NX/DW as a media server to convert all of their cameras and existing NVR/DVR setup to an RTSP stream over their cloud connection without any license cost - the license cost is just to record locally on that server. If you're pulling in RTSP to Sureview I bet they offer you options to record inside that if need be on the scenario. Thank you!

Eagle Eye Networks

Mike -

I work at Eagle Eye, and our product doesn't require port forwarding and is integrated with SureView Immix.  You can use a variety of cameras as well, including analog for those customers that haven't made the switch to IP.

Feel free to reach out to sales@een.com if you want more information

Mike - we have been testing a product that integrates with Immix, is simple to set up, and so far we have been very impressed.  I'll be happy to connect you with the mfg if you are interested.  greg@skycopinc.com

I work for OpenEye and can confirm our solution does not require port forwarding.
