I'm not sure he's even using screws, amazing!

What do you think, real install/installer?

How secure does a dummy camera need to be, anyway?

Yes, exactly.  Before this new technique was invented, masonry mounted dummy cameras were a rarity, due to the expense.

Question, your first screw in, do you go high or low?  How do you feel about the "screw-thru-the-mortar" approach?

..."screw-thru-the-mortar" approach...

Never mind, apparently this can be hazardous...

It cant be a real install, there isn't any duct tape or silicone recommended.

Fake news!!!! I don't see any visible connectors outside of that brick. Anyone who installs cameras for a living knows that you have to connect your wires outside of the camera housing on the outside of the wall.

Anyone lagging screws into brick with a hand driver has my respect.

The bricks must have a wiring chase directly behind them since he's using an insulated screwdriver.  If only he was wearing gloves...

I wonder if this is from the same installation photo shoot?

(also from a targeted ad on social media)

If this photo was taken of an actual installer, there'd be no smile on his face/ replaced by a scowl, he'd have a billion scrapes and cuts on his forearms, and there'd be electrical tape 'bandaids' on at least three fingers.

Also, he'd have a can of wasp spray in one hand.

Also, he would be wearing about 12 different forms Of PPE.

It's good he's using an insulated screwdriver just in case he gets a shock from that fake camera.

I bet that knock-off Wiha insulated driver cost nearly the same as the dummy camera.
