Looking For A Door Station With A Handset, That Will Record Into Milestone

We are looking for a door station that works like Aiphone. Video intercom with a handset station, and we want the video to record into Milestone. We also will need door release.

I was looking at the Axis line but there is no handset. It seems like you need an VoiP phone. What if the client does not have VoiP phones? Or we are not involved with portion of the project?

I know they can use the client software but I do not think that will be practical. This is an office, and users will not have the client software open.

Is there another door station that will work with Milestone and has a handset/base?

If you only want the video, no audio, there are a few options.  As long as there is an RTSP stream off the unit anything should work for just video.  Aiphone IX series will record as an RTSP stream.  Commend also makes much higher end intercoms that have Axis cameras built into them but the full assembly is likely several orders of magnitude greater than the Aiphone IX.

I'm assuming the door release will be through the handset only, not the Milestone client software.  If this is incorrect you may need to look at additional equipment.

What about a Grandstream GXV3275 VoIP phone? We use this as a desktop handset in secure rooms receiving video SIP calls from Axis video intercom door stations or Algo intercoms with external video from Axis IP cameras. PoE from end to end. As it’s all SIP, sure you’d be able to integrate with Milestone, ours connects to our Genetec system so the secure room can contact security and vice versa.

We do this all the time with Avigilon, Axis and VOIP video phones. The Axis video, analytic events, and inputs are sent to Avigilon and video/audio is sent via SIP to a video phone.

I wish someone made a phone with a USB jack which you could connect to client machine.
