Client wants to live view 2-3 cameras at her desk during the day. We originally quoted a Dahua system with 7 or 8 cameras across 2 buildings. Now it has been scaled down.
Someone came in an quoted her a Honeywell Lyric system. Not that familiar with TC and Lyric. Can that be setup for full time viewing? What about with ADC? We are new to the ADC platform. Seems to me neither platform is designed for that.
Total Connect doesn't do live video via the browser (only via app), and does not support HD video. Honeywell tells us both are being developed in the near future, but are not available now.
Alarm.com supports live viewing in both app and browser, but cameras are limited to 1080P max with fixed focal lenses.
In general, either provides basic surveillance, with Alarm.com doing a better job, but both options are going to be outperformed by basic surveillance systems. Video is a small aspect of both TC2.0 and Alarm.com's 'connected home' platform.
