I've sent an email to speak to someone from Kipod, but what I've gathered so far from their website, watching their video from the Intel Developer Forum, etc:

The development team overall appears to have a good academic background in software development, both in Cloud and data analytics.
Its the same 2 founders/partners of a firm Synesis which lists Kipod as a development platform of Synesis. They claim over 300 employees, and appear to have a large presence in Russia. I will be reaching out to another manufacturer about them.
One of the founders (Nikolay Ptitsyn) has an impressive sounding group of degrees listed on LinkedIn, which we obviously haven't confirmed, focused on "Image processing and pattern recognition" and "Chaos Theory applied to Cryptography"
I don't see a lot of strong business leadership listed anywhere for them, which raises concerns that they could have real strong tech, but no ability to commercialize it/expand the market. This was only from a quick search.
Their marketing is targeted to cloud video service providers, smart cities, and multisite-multi hundred camera system, operators.
They list their pricing as $69CAD per camera per month for an end user (smart city/corporate security) or $29CAD per camera per month for SaaS providers (minimum 500 cameras).

As I get more information, I will update here.
