"The Chief Secretary Sindh told the bench of the Supreme Court that 820 CCTV cameras were installed in Karachi out of which 803 are non-functional. He further told the bench that five hundred million rupees had been spent on the purchase of two mega pixel cameras. Justice Ameer Hani Muslim expressed his displeasure over the poor condition of CCTV cameras in such a large number and added that they were very important for tracking street and other crimes.
