Not mentioned, but quite fundamental to all of those sites, are affiliate links - that is, commissions that sites like Amazon give product referrers like these product review / test sites. Their business model is that someone reads the review, clicks on the link, buys something on Amazon, etc., and then the review site gets paid by Amazon.
