Is Anyone Seeing NVR Hard Drive Size Requirements Increasing Exponentially In The Last Year?

We are a financial institution and our average branch has around 35 IP cameras (anywhere from 2MP-12MP). So when we first started implementing IP cameras in 2013, our hard drive size was 2TB to get 180 days. We thin out non motion after 10 days and we drop the resolution on certain cameras during non business hours.

Today, our integrator is being told via the manufacturer we need 32TB and in some cases more just to get 90 days of retention. Last year we were ordering 16TB for the same size branches.
