Not On Your VSaaS List Include ADT, Vivint, Monitronics, More; Why?

IPVM's 1st “Integrators Show”, March 2022, combined with the December 2021 IPVM “VSaaS Show”, provides another view of the next-gen” Video Surveillance”. Although I could not listen to the complete presentation of the many hours of excellent presenters, we conferred with others for detail. First, there seems to be confusion as to the definition of “Integrator” and the definition of the different sources of RMR generated by Video Surveillance. Maybe my non-technical background misinterpreted your research. For example, names Not on your lists include ADT, Vivint, Monitronics and several thousand smaller providers of video that collectively manage several million existing customers on contract RMR for video security. You identified many new resources focused on sales and marketing efforts, to capture long term RMR security contracts. This fresh activity in the market could quickly expose the big hole in the existing delivery of customer expectations. Much was said in your VSaaS research about deterrent and detection of unwanted events, but little or nothing was said about response to the alarm site with corrective solutions, such as public or private police, or service/concierge personnel. Traditional high value RMR contracts generally include end-to-end customer support, Deterrent/Detection/Defense, aka site security. But if you take away the “defense” provided by professional site-response, a critical value proposition goes away… a serious dilution of RMR market value via attrition in major segments of the private security industry …enough to deter the hungry VC and other investors going forward… and repurpose the entire industry. What am I missing?
