Having an internal debate on the best way to interconnect the network switches for a large video surveillance project. We have a central server room on the 1st Floor, and three IDF closets located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 5th floors. Each location will have two Cisco SG350X-24MP network switches. We plan to use multimode fiber between the switches.
How would you interconnect these? Daisy-chain cables between each switch? Home-run cable from each individual switch to the server room? Home run cable from server room to each IDF closet and then interconnect the two switches at the closet? Use a "master" switch to control all of the switches?
