Since switching from High pressure sodium lighting to a bug deterring LED lighting source in a customers parking lot (which now offers an orange type glow) we have experienced increased effective visualization with the PTZ cams at night. However, four years later the lighting has dimmed somewhat with six or seven more useful years left before replacement. During the day these Avigilon PTZ cams work flawlessly but at night due to the orange glow they have difficulty not only with clarity (which is to be somewhat expected) but focusing as well. This has become a real challenge because lighting is expensive and the parking lot needs a higher level of security with these cams. I understand there is a blue filter that can remove the orange glow but if I were honest (since I am a novice with filtering) I would be crap shooting at best. I'm hoping someone has experienced a similar problem with lighting at night that discovered a viable solution (other than replacing cams or lighting).
