How About Making An IR Temp Gun With A 'Selfie Stick' Add-On?

The plus side of IR temp guns is that they take readings inches from the forehead reducing measurements risks plus these guns are cheap (sub $100). The downside is that a person needs to be right next to the subject to press the button that is on the device itself, increasing the risk of cross-contamination.

Why not make / sell a 'selfie stick' style add-on that lets the operator trigger it from 3 to 6 feet away. That would be cheap to add and would eliminate the contamination risk.
