I just received a notice that Honeywell is opening up sales of their new Lyric Security System to all dealers, not just the high volume purchasers. I was told you couldn't purchase these products from their distribution centers, such as ADI, unless you qualified by achieving a minimum dollar amount of purchase of Honeywell products. I checked my ADI account and it now shows my price for these products. I haven't tried to make a purchase yet to see if I'll get an unauthorized notice. So, if I'm understanding this correctly, I'm wondering what prompted this marketing change? Also, it's my understanding they no longer have the First Alert Dealer program. So, how are they going to reward their large volume purchasers?

Sep 26, 2016The Lyric line will also be released to Best Buy, Lowes etc. in a few months according to our RSM. I don't think there is any reward for being a honeywell dealer anymore other than higher percentage of return for coop marketing money.. which you don't get free unless you keep spending and marketing for Honeywell.
