Heralding....The GSM Reader

Slow day at work so here is a nugget for your future.

Introducing the GSM reader, basically just your average 5g cell phone embossed to look like a sleek conventional card reader. Installed or replacing the old technology reader system this reader can authenticate QR codes, BLE, NFC, Facial Recognition, Biometrics and if needed take a EMV chip transaction. The reader is still hybrid cell phone so yes, it also has intercom abilities, facetime and Alexa! (Sorry, siri hater here).

Gone are the large Hoffman ACAM/PACS shrines tucked away in communications closets and electrical rooms, gone are the network rack versions as well. Eliminated is the copper, OSPD(other recent thread I was thinking about PoE readers), Wiegand etc. All of it, gone. No switch gear. No physical credentials, cards or fobs.

GSM Entry Readers + Cloud = 2020 Security upgrade we all need to happen. Think of the ease of installation and the decrease of installation time, management and resources.

Do you have an elevator? interface it! HVAC? Interface it! IoT? Let's go.

Sure this will kill off a lot of security manufacturers, but now is the time! Let's upgrade? Gone are a lot of integrators as well...I am sure they will go and find something else to integrate with some ice cube relays and ascii text strings, perhaps even a binary punch card.

So how does the GSM CR work? it communicates with you and your cell phone, the authentication technologies and concepts are all there. The features and abilities scale far beyond say the general home run cable archaic access control system with analog security devices, power supplies etc. Elon Musk where are you?

Back over at the centralized AWS/ATT/Azure data centers reside your cloud easy to manage, robust and powerful 2020 CloudPACS! database. CloudPACS system end users access via the web, just like they do for everything else. Nearly all building systems unified with the system itself scalable past the word ENTERPRISE, let's take on a new form; COMMUNITY, an entire city could unify all CloudPACS into a centralized(it will always be) internet, just like big brother always wanted. Foil hat engaged.

CloudPACS on trains, planes and automobiles, not just buildings. Otherwise it wouldn't be cloud now would it?

Who is with me? or am I only dreaming as an undisclosed discloser, disclosing a disclosure?

Gotta get back to the future for now, but when I come back I will explain how a company like Assa Abloy should be revolutionizing low energy locks.
