Has Anyone Here Ever Dealt With Akuvox Intercom Units?

They look nice from their website  . They do not have any backend, only a front unit. You need a SIP server for them. Which is not a big deal. The bigger issue is that I never heard from them (which doesnt mean much), their manuals look junk and it looks like they are just a nice interface that sits on android or linux.

I am just a bit concerned on the quality of the hardware, etc...

Thank you

Interested in this as well, any feedback would be great.

Very similar to Butterfly and My Video Intercom.

I repped it for a very short time through an OEM from a manufacturer. It was a hard sell to integrators due to not having the cloud solution option. I had a networked demo unit. I thought build quality was exceptional. The software needed some help but I heard that was done. Just like Butterfly MX, DoorBird, etc, integrations with access control can hurt the sale. Lines that integrate with access control allow you to have only one database to manage. I can tell you from experience that property managers love that aspect. I still sell a lot of systems using a phone line also since property managers have strict budgets. I'll lose to Butterfly on a high end building occasionally where technology wins over budget .

Akuvox did not register strongly (good or bad) in our Favorite Intercom Manufacturers 2018 survey.

We have a profile post on the company: Akuvox Intercom Profile.

In general, the limitations of no cloud and limited access/VMS integrations hurt Akuvox compared to most other intercom vendors.
