Here is an unsolicited email that I received today. I literally almost sprayed my computer with coffee because I LoL'd so hard. I am going to respond with asking for a tour of the "manufacture" facility, and also what portion of their catalog is unique considering they are literally just rebranding other companies products. If you don't feel like reading the whole thing the first line and the last are my favorites... choo choo!

"If you say you saw it on IVPM, I will giv u 110% off"

It reads to me like he put this together himself unless that's how ENS officially does it marketing...

My response:

"Dear Mr Choo Choo Train,

As ENS is now the 3rd largest manufacturer in the world, would I be able to take a tour of your manufacturing facility? I am sure I would be most impressed, as I was under the assumption that Eastern and Savvytech were just OEM and relabelers. Also which part of your catalog is unique? Considering all I see are Dahua and other brands private labeled for ENS. I would say please advise, but it would probably better if you didn't respond to this email as you would be just inviting more sarcasm and possibly some demeaning comments for trying to insult my intelligence."

Why you hate OEM so much?

I have no problem with OEM. I take issue with dishonest people. If you OEM call your product “private labelled” or something. Sean Nelly and Nelly’s Security is an excellent example of OEM done right. Also come on, the guy referred to himself as Thomas the Train and he is going to be the conductor etc. He is lucky I didnt make any jokes about being the caboose.

If anyone ends up buying from Mr Choo Choo then I guess I did my good deed for the week because the way that email reads he is kind of a charity case.

Short term - good; He might get a call or two.

Long term - bad; People think less of ENS.

Depends on priorities, I suppose.

If I was ENS I would be more focused on strengthening the long term brand than getting a few calls off a bad email.

Just the grammar, misspellings and lack of sentence structure is amazing.  In my view, if I receive something worded like this I see it as fantastically unprofessional and sloppy and would laugh a little and delete it.

Idk why but Crazy Train by Ozzy just popped into my head “All aboard!!!!! Ha ha ha ha ha!” Putting it on Spotify now. Unfortunately now I will never be able to hear this song without picturing Thomas the Train.

We buy almost all of our cameras from them, and I will say, I miss the old days. It is one of the factors that has us looking at DW.

I am still a little sore at John H for stealing Robert Shih.... :)

To be fair Thomas the Tank engine worked for Sir Topham Hatt.

If he is involved at ENS we should expect all sorts of hi-jinks.
