DW Spectrum Analytics Integration With Axis And Hikvision

I've been trying to make analytics notifications work with DW spectrum for several AXIS current P series domes, as well as several models of HIkvision cameras with Smart 2.0 analytics. I have 2 issues: I can't seem to find any way to "enable" the plugins for either brand and when I set them up on the camera it seems they are not communicating with Spectrum. The message I get on the plugin page is "This plugin has no settings for this camera. Check system administration to configure the plugin." Even in the web URL /advanced I see no plugin setup configuration. so not sure what's going on there. If anyone can steer me towards a solution I'd be grateful, as my review of the manuals and NX Witnesss forums isn't bringing up much.
