I have been paranoid about exceeding cable/fiber allowed bend radii. Cables/fiber have a minimum bend allowance when installing them, so you do not damage performance by breaking or kinking conductors. Bending too sharply can deform, fracture, and/or splinter the conductors.
Images like this are extreme examples, where a Cat5 is actually wrapped around a nail <shudder>:
