We inherited this client, and someone else installed a NVR 4216 recorder. We work with Dahua recorders all the time and never had a problem with their EZIP/P2P. It is a small setup, and we replaced all 4 cameras. When I tried logging into the NVR from a laptop, the plugin kept triggering my anti virus software. So I defaulted it,upgraded the firmware and reconfigured it. Not sure if I defaulted it AFTER the FW upgrade though.

In the past this device was set up with port forwarding etc and we moved away from that on our other installs, and went to EZIP. So when we upgraded the FW, we just enabled EZIP. When we enable EZIP, it shows connected. If I unplug the network cable, it shows not connected. The IP address and Gateway on the NVR are correct, and no conflicts. No major firewall, just a Linksys router between the NVR and a cable modem (Modem only, no router).

The NVR is now in our shop, so we know everything on the network side is correct. We stage plenty of Dahua NVR's here.

Here is a weird tidbit. The Serial Number on the sticker is not even close to the internal serial number being reported in the info screen. I did try using the SN on the sticker as well, and no luck.

Any thoughts?  I may just default the NVR again and reconfigure. That probably will take less time than trying to figure this out.

Hoping my buddy Robert has some insight before I default it.
