Connecting LPR Cameras In A Neighborhood?

So I inherited a quote from a former technician at my company and I'm trying to piece together how to go about completing the project.

I've got a client that wants LPR's installed at different gates within the neighborhood. Some gates are pretty close - about 150 feet but some are almost a mile apart - 7 in total. Each gate has power so I've got that solved but I cannot figure out how to get them connected to a NVR. I'd honestly like to skip the NVR altogether and just use SD cards in the cameras but I don't know how possible that is.

Should I just use Wireless AP's throughout the neighborhood, use some sort of satellite connection or try and find a decent LPR with an SD card slot, but so far I haven't found any. I'm fairly new to the industry so I'm half tempted to turn it down since I've never installed something to this scale and I'm the only camera technician at my company so I don't have anyone to bounce ideas off.

Would really love some help.

Thanks!

Are you looking for to ID the plates or looking for true ALPR?

Just ID the plates in any way possible

Probably want to give it up. depending on trees and topography, my preferred method is Ubiquity nanobeams , however in your scenario I can bet that there is no line of site which adds a great deal of difficulty and expense/infrastructure. There are cellular options but I have never worked with them and have little desire to

So my company builds modular control housings for this type of use (product name: MIP) For instance we deploy them for HOA entry/exit monitoring. They are configured as needed to handle the following:

- Weather/Enviro protection

- AC to DC/PoE transformation & distribution

- Local networking

- PtP wireless networking

- Cellular Comms

- Edge Recording

- External Cameras/IR/etc

- Health monitoring & remote system control

How we would specify this would be MIP Master Control housings supporting your required NVR and cameras (or our recommend solutions). Tie a camera/IR and a 4G connection to each. These are deployed at each gate location except:

In locations where you do have line of site between gate locations we can tie one of our more basic Remote Nodes (MIP-RN) out.  These require a MIP Master and enable PtP links and provide local power/health control and monitoring for cameras/IR.  The NVR and 4G connection are at each master unit which shared those costs and resources.

Let me know if we can assist or answer further questions.

Thanks!

A Mobotix M16 camera can ID the plates, Day Colored Lens + LPF Night lens will do the job.  It also does recording on the internal SD card if required.
