Story in The Register and Bleeping Computer.

Cisco altered a configuration file, which caused customer specific/customized data to be deleted. From the Bleeping Computer story:

Cisco says data such as WiFi floor plans, splash themes, logos, summary reports, device placement photos, telephony server details, and general system settings were lost in the engineering snafu. This means that many companies will have to re-configure their Meraki accounts.

With vendors like Brivo pushing the cloud as a more secure/more reliable alternative to traditional enterprise systems, this may cause customers to reconsider the cloud approach (not that locally-hosted data is necessarily fool proof).
