Has anyone used CamCloud for their cloud surveillance platform? I just watched a presentation from them in association with Hanwha. I got to admit, it looked pretty good. However, we all know that presentations and real life performance can be very different.
Anyone Use Camcloud?
Yes, we use the solution. We've deployed 100's locations with CamCloud, with many using Hanwha cameras. The cameras that we've used thus far have been Axis and Hanwha for large and small deployments. Our customers love the mobile app and interface and state that it's extremely easy to use and intuitive. We've been using this for about a year and a half and it's now the only cloud solution we deploy.
I believe camcloud can get you access to their demo system so you can take a spin or demo it off. You can also get your own demo licenses to test yourself and demo to customers
Yes, we use Camcloud for certain applications. Super easy to install and has proven to be reliable.
What does CloudCam cost, or whats its pricing model like? Per month per camera?
There is an initial Sign-up fee. It is $1000 or $500. I don't remember which is correct as they were offering 50% off at the time I was introduced to the product.
At this time, pricing is based on Recording Retention Time only. It's a price per camera no matter the resolution. Current options provided to me were 7, 14, 30, 60, & 90 day options. Currently 15 FPS max per camera.
Further discounts are applied once you reach camera total milestones such as 500 and 1000.
We evaluated it and it seemed to work well except with PTZ cameras. We used an AXIS and Hanwha camera with it through PTZ and experienced 3 to 5 second delays on position changes. For static cameras I am sure it is a great solution.
