Looking For Hazard Rated Alarm Radios For Military Installation

I have a request to install a wireless type system at a military runway which will send an alarm about 2-3 km max back to an emergency response firehall.

There is no communications on site so i will have use some type of  transmitter/receiver device. We have pits at either end of runway used to stop fighter jets. They have an arrestor cable between them.

The problem is sometimes they flood and a warning system is required to give warning that pumps are not keeping up. Also there is hazardous gas system in pits and that needs send signals as well. There is power at site. There are no obstructions between 4 pits and firehall.

What systems are out there to provide remote alarms for this type of situation?

Are you allowed to use any wireless or RF equipment, or are you limited to certain frequencies?

Yes RF is probably way to go.Like have a unit at head end that can monitor 4 sites simultaneously if possible.

Radio Alarms for military

Look into King Fisher.  They are popular for fire alarm receiving on bases.  Actually, check with the base FD and see what they use already for alarms or mass notification.

Depending on the location, there is a listing for radio gear near ordinance and usually the runways are a part of that

Also, check Monaco Enterprises who specializes in wireless for alarms.
