As shown in the following LinkedIn post, Mike Bloomberg was seen wearing his badge far from his office. The post interpreted this as Bloomberg considering badges a "communication tool and cultural identity marker" on top of a means for security.

In IPVM's experience, most end users would add cardholders' names, photos, and sometimes access eligibility on the cards, making it a physical ID instead of just an access credential.
