Avigilon Analytics Subpar

I’m trying to understand why people love Avigilon so much. I recently deployed an Avigilon H5A 4MP camera covering an emergency exit and tried various analytics to detect subjects running out the door.

After 2 weeks, I gave up as I had 95%+ false positives and was not detecting subjects exciting but was detecting employees turning off the alarm and customers shopping 5 feet away from the detection zone. I tried line cross, wrong direction, time in area, entering area, and it just didn’t work as advertised. This was a basic analytics test which failed miserably.
