ATM Camera Suggestions For ATM Without Window To Shoot Through

One of my customers has a Triton FT5000 Series ATM, it does not natively have a camera window, view hole, etc. So I was looking at some of the Axis cameras, the P12 Series, F1005, the Hikvision 2MP Covert option (DS-2CD6424FWD-XX) but every time i have ever done an ATM we have had a window to shoot through either for a box camera or a pinhole. So not sure how folks are about drilling through an ATM to install a camera. Also this will be an exterior ATM... so it needs to be weather proof. Thank you!

Only thing I can suggest would be the ACTi Q13.  2MP Fisheye "Covert", IP66.  I have never tested the specific unit, but the indoor version works well.

I'm not sure how it works in your area, but is there anyway to contact the manufacturer of the ATM, or the person setting it up to see if they can drill into it, or make a hole?

I've also only ever worked on ATM's with a window for the cameras, or the customers just didn't bother with a camera in the ATM. I'm not sure how I would feel about modifying the ATM to fit a camera, myself. Maybe something directly above the ATM? Not the same angle as if it was in the ATM, but should still be able to get face shots and such, depending how high the shroud and such is.

Is there a specific need that absolutely requires you to locate the camera inside the unit?

If it has to be inside the ATM, you're going to be drilling a pinhole or cutting a window in.

They are placing a weatherproof shroud/canopy/ hood around the ATM which I don't believe will allow room for an camera to be mounted next to it, if the camera is mounted further over, then it would be too far away and the view would be blocked by the shroud. Its going to be mounted on the side of the building so that customers can drive up, so the best solution i can think of is mounting it in the ATM, which I am not opposed to drilling through, there is usually a little bit of room inside those ATM's.

Drill, drill away and throw an Axis P12 in there.

With a shroud that'd probably your only option in my own humble opinion.

Drill a hole through the exterior wall just above ATM. Fish wire. Mount choice of camera. Done.

I would agree, but I failed to mention they are installing an exterior shroud around the ATM, so I don't think there will be enough room to place a camera, I'm not ruling it out, and I may have to wait until its fully installed to look at it but I was hoping someone here has had a similar experience.

We have used this camera when a window was not provided or unavailable.  It is analog, but it works well.  Do not use the cover plate that comes with it, just drill a hole the size of the cylinder, stick the camera through the hole and screw the nut on the back of the camera.  It has a nice finished look.

Here is pinhole camera (Ganzsecurity.com) that you may want to consider, it has 2 lens options. If you have wall space then the gang box in wall camera may work as well.
