As a general rule, you can not stop someone from exiting a room with a maglock. There has to be a REX. In nursing homes, I know they generally will allow a delayed egress system. In some memory sections, I was told that you can apply for an exemption and you can have it that there is no delay egress, only a keypad. (of course, when the fire alarm goes off it will open).
Does anyone know any more information about that exemption?
